One Piece is a manga by Eiichiro Oda to be published in the journal Sh? Nen Jump the Sh? Eisha, which began August 4, 1997, is ongoing. At home, October 13, 2010 reached Chapter 600 [1] and, currently, is in Chapter 667. These chapters have been so far collected in 66 tank? Bon (up to chapter 656), of which the first was published in December 1997. Is distributed in Italy by Star Comics since 2001, so far, has published the first 63 volumes.
The author Eiichiro Oda originally planned to conclude One Piece in five years and also had already planned to end, however, liked the story too much for finishing it so quickly and now has no idea what the conclusion is missing. In any case, in July of 2007, the author said that the end is still the same that he had decided from the outset and who is determined to see his complete work, regardless of how long it will take.
The original title is written in Latin characters and is deliberately all-caps: ONE PIECE. This particular feature is not, however, been implemented outside Japan where the title commonly chosen by the publishers (including Star Comics) is as generic as One Piece.

Plot

Monkey D. Luffy is a young pirate dreamer who has a child accidentally ate the Devil Fruit Gomu Gomu which makes it a "rubber man", allowing it to stretch and change shape at will, to the detriment, however, the ability to swim. The goal that drove him into the sea is ambitious to become the Pirate King. Therefore, will find the legendary "One Piece", the wonderful treasure left by the legendary pirate Gol D. Roger probably Raftel Island, at the end of the Grand Line, and never found every pirate's dream.
In his adventure, Luffy will bring together a crew around him and is in the midst of bizarre and outlandish situations, as much as they enjoy the characters, enemies or friends, the universe around him, often reaching levels absurd and grotesque that give the work a surreal and funny.
